How to use TripValise

Create a trip

Name the trip and choose where you leave from and where you come back to. Add the trip dates when you know them; you can always save an unfinished trip and come back to it.

Add stops

Search for a city, pick the arrival date, and the stop appears on the map. A stop’s arrival is its only date: you leave when the next stop begins, and the first and last days come from the trip dates.

Stays, transport, and activities

• Add a stay, an activity, or transport to the stop it belongs to, with times, a price, and a note for anything else.
• Tap a status icon to mark an item Planned, Booked, or Paid.
• The trip total adds up every price in one place.

PDF tickets and bookings

Attach up to 3 PDFs of 1 MB each to a stay, activity, transport, or document item, and open them from the same item later. PDFs are private to your account.

The checklist

Each trip lists what is still missing, such as an end date or a night without a stay. It only suggests; nothing changes until you decide.

Packing, documents, and Tasks

• Packing tracks each item as Buy, Have, or Packed.
• Documents lists what to carry, such as a passport or insurance, and ticks when you have it.
• Tasks hold things to do, for the whole trip or for one stop, stay, activity, or transport, with an optional due date.

Use it on your phone

On a phone, open Account and choose Install app to add TripValise to your home screen. It then opens like any other app.

Offline copies

Keep a trip for offline use before you travel, and its itinerary, packing, documents, Tasks, and PDFs open without a connection, with the time they were last updated. Without a connection you can still tick packing items, documents, and Tasks; those ticks save by themselves when you are back online. Everything else is read-only offline, and maps and search need a connection. Signing out removes the copies from that device; see Cookies and storage.
